Yes. On-street parking is available directly outside Becketts and throughout the surrounding Southsea area.  This only needs to be paid for between the hours of 6pm – 8am daily. We recommend that hotel guests make use of the Ringo app.

No. One of the things that makes Becketts unique is that each bedroom has its own individual character, layout and styling. While room categories are similar, décor and room layouts may vary slightly.

Our rooms have been thoughtfully designed to maximise comfort and make the most of the building's original features. Some rooms are more compact than those found in larger modern hotel chains, but all offer a comfortable and characterful boutique stay.

Due to the historic nature of our Grade II listed Georgian townhouses, we were not permitted to install a lift and therefore our rooms are not suitable for guests with restricted mobility.  We have level wheelchair access from our Dartmouth Mews entrance but this is to the ground floor guest common areas only.  Access to all bedrooms includes negotiating steps or stairs. Our Mews Rooms are situated on the ground floor with access via two external steps only but please note that these should not be considered as “accessible rooms”.

Becketts is home to a lively cocktail bar and regularly hosts private celebrations, albeit usually only on Friday and Saturdays. While we do everything possible to ensure a comfortable stay, guests staying in room 8 will hear music during busier evenings, typically until around 11:30pm.  We therefore do not recommend this room for light sleepers or guests needing to get an early night’s sleep.  This is rarely an issue however on Sunday – Thursday nights.

As a Grade II listed building, we were unable to install air conditioning or double glazing during the restoration process. However, each room has been carefully designed to provide a comfortable stay while preserving the building's original character.
